Increasing lymphatic drainage
Massage therapy can be also used in the treatment of both acute and chronic stages of conditions, such as:
Back, leg, and neck pain

Chronic Fatigue syndrome
Fractures and edema
Inflammatory conditions such as arthritis and bursitis
Kyphosis and Scoliosis
Muscle tension and spasm
Strains and sprains
Stress and stress related conditions
So much information is exchanged through touch. I can't imagine I'm the first therapist to say things like; "I see with my hands", and "I felt like I was inside their body sensing all the stress, tension, and emotion held there", but that is what it's like.
Muscle memory is real, so let's both try to give them experiences to pull from in times of stress. Remind them that it's okay to relax! In most cases, when muscles are tight, they're not able to function as they should. Tight muscles restrict blood flow, hindering your body's natural ability to supply new and fresh oxygenated blood to your muscles, trapping acids and hormones your body produces in times of stress and activity.
Having said that, your time on my table is yours, and yours alone. It is my promise to you to provide a safe and professional space where, if you choose, we can connect in a place of healing. No Judgement, no shame, no question.
In my many years of service in this profession, I've always felt swept away to another place while I work. Each body is so unique and intriguing. Exploring, finding, and understanding how best to treat your problem areas is why I do this work. It's my calling, and I love it. I've tried to describe what I feel, and where I go while I work, and I am definitely still searching for the right words, but what I've come up with thus far is this: Meet me there.
Meet me in that meditative state where my consciousness and yours can connect. I can go there on my own, and it's wonderful, but it's a thousand times better, and much more effective if you're there with me. Breathe, relax, trust, and let go.
